About Eagle Home Appraisal Wilmington

Who we help, and how it starts

Eagle Home Appraisal Wilmington helps families, executors and homeowners in Wilmington and New Castle County find out what a house is worth, for an estate, a divorce, a tax record or a decision of your own. It starts with a phone call about the house.

What the first call is like

You tell us about the house and what you need it for. We ask a few plain questions: the address, the date, who will read the report, how we'd get in. Then we tell you honestly whether we can take it, what the job would involve and what to expect on the fee and timing. There's no pressure to decide on the call.

The report should answer your question

An inherited home may need what it was worth on an earlier date. A divorce may come with a date and instructions from an attorney. A homeowner thinking ahead may just need to know where the market stands today. Tell us what the report is for, and we'll agree on the job together before any work begins.

Bring your advisers into it

If an attorney, accountant, trustee or personal representative has given you instructions, send them with your request. We'll give you an opinion of what the property is worth. What that number means for the law or your taxes is for your advisers.

What helps us understand your house

Start with the full address, the kind of property, roughly how big it is and anything unusual about it. Tell us how we'd get in, what's been changed and when you need the report. For a value as of an earlier date, old photographs and dated repair bills help a lot.

If you might need testimony or a deposition, we'll talk about that separately, since it depends on what's involved and when we're available. Call us at (302) 298-3336 whenever you're ready, even if all you have right now is a question.
